Healthy teeth and gums rely on regular cleaning and while the majority of this work can occur at home the dental hygienist is able to remove any pockets of bacterial build up in hard-to-reach places like in between teeth and under the gum line. Emergency Appointments
Dental Care Centre offers daily dedicated emergency sessions for those patients in need of immediate dental attention. If you are suffering from dental pain please contact us on (06) 867 9108 to make an appointment with one of our Dentists.
If you have had an accident, you may be eligible for treatment subsidised by ACC.
It is important to remember that regular dental checkups will aid in the early identification of many potential problems, often minimising the need for emergency work.
Check Up and Clean (Active Maintenance)
Regular 6 monthly check-ups are encouraged with the hygienist or Dentist to allow regular removal of bacterial build up (plaque and tartar) and to regularly review the condition of your teeth. We like to think of this as Active Maintenance, a regular routine of professional cleaning and review of the condition of your teeth allows you to keep on top of small problems and minimise the potential for them to turn into painful dental issues and costly repairs.
Consultation
During our dental consultations our skilled Dentists will assess your teeth and should treatment be required they will talk you through the different options to enable you to decide on the best treatment to suit your needs. You will be given a detailed treatment plan and cost estimate for you to consider before any treatment is done.
Orthodontic Treatment
Dental Care Centre offers orthodontic treatment for both adult and kids We have a range of different services available including the conventional metal bracket and wire option (Kids Braces) as well as the very popular Invisalign (virtually invisible plastic retains) option. Orthodontic treatment helps improve the appearance of your smile and can improves the functionality of your bite and the health of your teeth and gums.

ACC – Treatment of Accident related Dental Issues
ACC (Accident Compensation Corporation) will help with costs including the initial consultation if you have an accident and damage your teeth. You will need to register your accident with ACC which can be done as part of your dental consultation. The Dentist will be able to advise if treatment is required and apply on your behalf for approval of the treatment. In some cases a private co payment may be required which can be discussed as part of your appointment
Children and Young Adult Dental Care (Under 18’s)
Dental Care Centre is pleased to be able to provide free routine dental care for high school aged children (to Year 9 to 18 years). This service includes an annual check and treatment of any dental issues. You do not have to be at high school to use this service.

X Rays
Dental Care Centre uses up to date digital based xrays units to view and diagnose dental issues. These dental units use specially designed “cones’ to target the viewing area and very low dose calibrated units to minimise any exposure to xray. Xrays allow the Dentist to see what is happening within the tooth structure and accurately diagnose dental issues to offer the most effective dental options for your dental needs.

As part of any dental consultation our Dentists will take you through the options for treatment and provide you with treatment estimates to enable you to make the best choice for your dental needs and budget.
Digital Dentistry
Dental Care Centre has incorporated digital dentistry into many aspects of the services they provide. It allows for the storage and viewing of xrays and photos and the streamlining of workflow. The use of digital scanner improves accuracy and precision of dental images improving dental outcomes and making it more comfortable for the patient.
Whitening
Whitening helps improve the appearance of your smile by removing staining caused by everyday eating, coffee and nicotine. Custom made dental trays ensure the effective placement of the whitening gels for great results, professional quality gels minimise any sensitivity associated with their use. Particularly effective when used in conjunction with professional cleaning. Great for weddings and special events.
Botox and Dysport Treatment
As well as improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles Botox and Dysport are able to help with dental conditions including tension head aches and jaw pain associated with teeth clenching and TMJ injury, relaxing muscles associated with teeth grinding and dribbling associated with the relaxing of muscles around the mouth. Our clinically trained dentists are pleased to offer this service to help with both appearance and these functional issues.

Payment options
Following your consultation with the dentist you will be given an outline of treatment options and an estimate of the treatment costs.
Payment for dental work is required on the day of treatment. We accept cash, eftpos and Visa and also offer Afterpay to help spread payment.
Dental Care Centre are NIB and Southern cross easy pay providers.
We also support a number of government funding initiatives; including free routine dental care for under 18’s, WINZ quotes and ACC.
Social Welfare Support (WINZ Quotes)
If you are on a low income or benefit Work and Income may be able to help pay towards the cost of dental treatment. Dental Care Centre are able to provide treatment estimates for WINZ funding approval.
